Why This Virgin Voyages Trip Completely Won Me Over
Resilient Lady from Miami to Jamaica, Cayman Isles,Bimin and back again,
I’ve just returned from one of those trips that genuinely reminds you why you love this industry. A hosted experience with Virgin Voyages onboard Resilient Lady, flying out with Virgin Atlantic to Miami, and I’ll be honest, it exceeded expectations from start to finish. This wasn’t just a cruise. It was a full experience.
The Perfect Start – Flying to Miami
Flying with Virgin Atlantic is always a strong start to any trip. The service, the comfort, the whole vibe just sets the tone properly for what’s to come.
Arriving into Miami, we headed straight to The YOTEL for an overnight stay. If you haven’t stayed at YOTEL before, it’s modern, efficient and perfect for a pre cruise night. Clean, smart design and exactly what you need before boarding the next day.
We also had the chance to visit The Goodtime Hotel and Grand Beach Hotel in South Beach, giving a great mix of options depending on the type of stay you want.

Boarding Resilient Lady – First Impressions
From the moment we stepped onboard Resilient Lady, it was clear this is not your traditional cruise.
There were 15 of us on the trip, hosted brilliantly by Gemma and Al from Virgin Voyages as part of Bring on Bimini 2026, and we were looked after from the very start. The ship itself is stylish, spacious and full of personality. No big main dining room, no buffets, just a collection of incredible restaurants, each with its own identity.
The Extras That Made It Special
What really elevated this trip were the experiences you simply don’t get on a standard booking.
- Exclusive access to Richard’s Rooftop
- A private Bridge visit
- Hosted meals across every restaurant onboard
- Two fantastic Shore Things excursions
- VIP access and a private cocktail event at Bimini Beach Club
- A few final treats back in Miami on our last day
These are the kind of touches that turn a great trip into a memorable one.

The Itinerary – More Than Just a Cruise
This sailing took us to Miami, Jamaica, George Town and Bimini and each stop delivered something completely different.
Jamaica – Proper Adventure
This was not a sit on a bus and look out the window type excursion. River tubing through the jungle and jumping into the Blue Hole waterfalls made this one of the most fun and immersive shore experiences I’ve done in a long time.
George Town – Classic Caribbean
Beautiful water, relaxed atmosphere and that classic Caribbean feel, all on a Catamaran. Perfect for either exploring stingrays, starfish or just switching off for a few hours.
Bimini – The Virgin Voyages Twist
Bimini is where Virgin really shows what it does differently. The Beach Club isn’t just a beach stop, it’s an experience. Great music, fantastic food, a lively but still premium atmosphere and with VIP access and a private cocktail event it was taken to another level.

Final Thoughts
This trip wasn’t just about seeing a ship or ticking off destinations. It was about experiencing what modern cruising can look like when it’s done properly. Stylish but not stuffy. Relaxed but still premium. Fun without losing quality. That’s exactly what Virgin Voyages delivers.
