Seven Perfect Days in Saint Lucia: Sulphur Springs, Sugar Beaches and Sunsets
Seven sun‑soaked days of rainforest adventures, Piton views and laid‑back Caribbean luxury, tailored for a perfect Saint Lucia escape
There’s something about St. Lucia that just stays with you. The wild beauty, the warmth of the people, and the endless little surprises tucked into every corner.
A few standout memories……...
• Wading into the Sulphur Springs in Soufrière. The water was warm and mineral rich, like a volcanic spa straight out of a dream. It was steamy, surreal, and kind of magical.
• The Gros Islet Street Party was unreal. We danced under the stars, ate street food that dreams are made of, and just let the island’s energy carry us. St. Lucians know how to celebrate and make you feel right at home while doing it.
• Chocolate making from scratch like, actual cacao beans to finished bar. It was messy, delicious, and so much fun. I definitely ate more than I was supposed to.
• Sampling rum punches across the island which totally counts as cultural research. No two were the same, and I now firmly believe mixology is an art form.
• Dining under the stars at the Naked Fisherman. Toes in the sand, waves as the soundtrack, and grilled seafood that tasted like the ocean had a secret just for us.
Our base was the Royalton Saint Lucia, which had everything we needed. Good food, plenty of space to lounge (and recover from the rum), and a great spot to start exploring.
From there, we visited
- Jade Mountain blew my mind. The view? The pool? It felt like living in a painting
- Anse Chastanet was right nearby, more laid-back and surrounded by jungle. I loved the contrast.
- Sugar Beach felt like a Bond movie set, sleek, stylish, and tucked perfectly between the Pitons.
- Sandals Halcion and Grande was all about comfort and friendly energy, while East Winds felt like our own secret retreat, peaceful, unassuming, and totally charming.
- Zoëtry Marigot Bay was pure calm, nestled in a marina with just the right amount of luxury.
- The BodyHoliday got us back on balance, a little spa, a little stretch, a lot of healthy food.
- Rabot at Hotel Chocolat was chocolate heaven. Staying in the middle of a cacao farm was a whole vibe and the tasting experience was everything.
- Cap Maison was so elegant and romantic and Windjammer Landing, great for families and a chilled vibe.
We also checked out other hotels such as Bel Jou for the views, Coco Palm for the colour and culture, Bay Gardens for its location (and killer rum punch), Harbor Club for the modern marina feels, and SoCo House which was effortlessly stylish.
