Wake up to Athens at The Dolli

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to plan a few days in Athens, The Dolli at Acropolis might just be it. Set in the historic heart of the city, this is somewhere that puts Athens right outside your door, with the Acropolis just moments away. Spend the morning wandering through ancient streets, stop for a long Greek lunch, then return to the hotel and take in those famous city views from above. The rooftop is one of the real draws, particularly when the Acropolis begins to glow as the sun goes down.

Slow things down at Cape Sounio

You don’t have to travel far from Athens to find somewhere that feels completely different. Cape Sounio, A Resort to Live sits on the Athens Riviera, surrounded by pine trees and the Aegean Sea, with views towards the Temple of Poseidon. Choose between three private beaches, spend a few hours at the spa, enjoy dinner overlooking the water, or head out to discover more of the history surrounding the resort. Athens is still within reach, too, making this a lovely option if you like the idea of combining time in the city with a few slower days beside the sea.

Find your favourite corner of Corfu

For a classic Greek island escape, Corfu Imperial, A Resort to Live has one of those settings that immediately makes you want to relax. The resort sits on the Kommeno Peninsula, surrounded by the Ionian Sea, with beaches and little coves around the coastline. You can spend your days close to the water, but there’s plenty beyond the resort when you fancy exploring. Corfu Town is around 12km away, so it’s easy to add an afternoon wandering its narrow streets, stopping in cafés, and discovering its Venetian character. Or take to the water and see another side of the island from the sea.

Make all-inclusive easy at Grecotel LUXME Kos

If your perfect Greek holiday involves plenty of choice without having to plan every meal or activity, Grecotel LUXME Kos is worth a closer look. Set in Psalidi, just a few kilometres from Kos Town, the resort brings together tropical gardens, multiple pools, a private beach, and plenty of places to eat and unwind. It works really well for families, with lots happening around the resort and accommodation designed for both couples and larger groups. Then, when you want a change of scene, Kos Town and its harbour are close enough for an easy trip out. The LUXME all-inclusive concept also means much of the holiday is taken care of before you arrive, leaving you to decide whether the day calls for the pool, the beach, exploring Kos, or simply doing very little at all.

Set on Antigua’s south coast, Carlisle Bay is entering a new phase, with a multi-million-dollar renovation bringing considered updates to its suites, restaurants, and shared spaces. The work is being completed in stages, allowing the resort to refresh its contemporary Caribbean style while holding on to the warm, attentive service guests know it for. What it’s really like to ride the Rocky Mountaineer

30 October 2026

Travelling through western Canada by rail has long been one of those bucket-list experiences, but what is it actually like once you are on board? A group of our Travel Counsellors recently travelled from Vancouver towards the Rockies in GoldLeaf Service, spending two days watching the landscape change from city to countryside, desert, forest, and mountains. And while the scenery is every bit as impressive as you hope, what really stood out was how much care goes into the whole experience.
