Vancouver is a walkable city, with each neighbourhood offering unique experiences. We highly recommend a wander through historic Gastown, a stroll along the waterfront at Coal Harbour (which has amazing views over Stanley Park), and a spot of shopping in the West End. If you want to really live like a local for a few days, immerse yourself in the local sports scene by cheering on the Canucks during the winter hockey season, attending a BC Lions football game if you visit during the summer, or catching a Vancouver Canadians baseball game one evening.

If it’s nature and the great outdoors you’re craving, Vancouver has plenty to offer whenever you choose to visit. Grouse Mountain (one of three large mountains that hugs the city) offers a multitude of activities, from stand-up paddle boarding on nearby lakes in the summer and ziplining across the mountain to conquering the famed Grouse Grind for a rewarding view from the top (there is a cable car option if you prefer something more leisurely).
