Travel Counsellors celebrate on the Athens Riviera

There are some trips that stay with you long after you've unpacked your suitcase. Not just because of the destination, but because of the people, the experiences, and the moments shared along the way. That was certainly the case when a group of Travel Counsellors gathered on the Athens Riviera at the beautiful Grecotel Cape Sounio for a few days of celebration, connection, and inspiration.

Travel Counsellors celebrate on the Athens Riviera

A spectacular setting on the Athens Riviera
Set amongst pine forests and overlooking the ancient Temple of Poseidon, Cape Sounio provided an impressive backdrop for the event. The resort's position on the Attica coastline meant every day began with views across the Aegean, while evenings were spent watching the sun set over one of Greece's most iconic landmarks.
From the moment guests arrived, Grecotel's renowned hospitality was on full display. Whether enjoying waterfront dining, relaxing by the sea, or exploring the resort's grounds, there was a genuine sense of being looked after throughout the stay.
As Travel Counsellor Gaynor reflected, "It was great to connect with everyone including the wider Grecotel Hotels & Resorts team from across Greece. Grecotel were fabulous hosts, and we were treated like royalty. They pulled out all the stops."

Inspiration, wellness, and time to connect

While there were opportunities to learn about new developments across the travel industry, there was also plenty of time to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. One morning began with a wellness breakfast overlooking the sea, followed by yoga on the waterfront and time to embrace the slower pace of the Athens Riviera. It was a chance to step away from busy schedules and focus on wellbeing, something that's often difficult to prioritise when running a successful business.

For Cat, this became one of the standout memories of the trip.

"The hotel was just gorgeous, and the style of the rooms was phenomenal. I was in a two-bedroom villa with a private pool, and it was just stunning. The staff, right from the moment we arrived, were so attentive throughout. The quality of the food, the lunches, the dinners, the breakfast – everything was incredible. We did a healthy breakfast down by the sea, followed by yoga, which I really enjoyed because, as a business owner, sometimes you really forget to look after yourself. Having a nice, healthy breakfast and then doing some exercise was lovely before going out on a boat trip, which was again stunning."

An afternoon on the Aegean

One experience that quickly became a favourite among attendees was a luxury boat trip along the Athens Riviera. Guests spent the afternoon cruising across crystal-clear waters, enjoying lunch on board, swimming in secluded bays, and taking in the coastline from a completely different perspective. For many, it perfectly captured everything that makes this part of Greece so appealing.

Memories to take home

From wellness experiences and luxury accommodation to unforgettable boat trips and exceptional hospitality, the Athens Riviera proved to be the perfect setting for a few days of recognition and celebration. With incredible hosts, breathtaking scenery, and a programme that perfectly balanced learning, relaxation, and celebration, it was a trip that will be remembered for a long time to come.
