There are some destinations that instantly make you slow down, and the Seychelles is certainly one of them. Recently, a group of Travel Counsellors travelled to the spectacular Silhouette Island to celebrate success, strengthen supplier relationships, and experience one of the Seychelles' most exclusive island retreats first-hand. The trip showcased not only the incredible natural beauty of the islands, but also why the Seychelles continues to be one of the Indian Ocean's most captivating destinations.

A warm welcome to paradise

The journey began on Mahé before a scenic 45-minute ferry crossing to Silhouette Island, setting the tone for the days ahead. Surrounded by lush mountains and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, Niva Labriz Seychelles is the only 5-star resort on Silhouette Island, a protected national park where nature takes centre stage.
With spacious beachfront villas nestled between tropical gardens and powder-soft sand, the resort immediately immerses guests in island life. "I was blown away by Silhouette Island,” explains Travel Counsellor Drew, “the beachfront location of my room, the fantastic company of my fellow Travel Counsellors and all the attendees, and the relaxed itinerary that was so carefully curated. Honestly, it really could not have been better."

Experiencing the Seychelles beyond the beach

While the beaches were every bit as breathtaking as expected, the itinerary was carefully designed to showcase the many different sides of the Seychelles. Travel Counsellors had the opportunity to snorkel amongst tropical marine life, explore Silhouette Island's rich biodiversity on guided nature walks, and sail to the stunning St Anne Marine National Park, where crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, and protected islands offered an unforgettable glimpse into the natural beauty of the archipelago. The day continued with a traditional Creole lunch at the historic Marie Antoinette Restaurant on Mahé before returning to Silhouette Island.
Throughout the trip, there was also time to simply enjoy the slower pace of island life, whether relaxing on the beach, exploring the resort by bicycle, enjoying the spa, or taking in the spectacular scenery that surrounds Silhouette Island.

Time to connect and celebrate

The relaxed itinerary created plenty of opportunities for Travel Counsellors to spend time together, share ideas, and strengthen relationships. Alongside inspiring conference sessions and informal networking, there was plenty of time to reconnect over memorable meals and unforgettable island evenings. One of the highlights was the celebration dinner, where guests enjoyed authentic Creole cuisine beneath the stars before dancing the night away. As Drew recalls, "The local DJ for our celebration dinner was fantastic and that evening will live long in my memories – it was just one of so many highlights."
