Unveiling Grenada's newest Underwater Sculpture Park

Calling all divers! Prepare to be swept away by the latest aquatic wonder to grace Caribbean waters. Just off the shores of Carriacou, sister island to Grenada, a mesmerising experience awaits at the brand-new underwater sculpture park, ‘World Adrift’ which opens this October.

Unveiling Grenada's newest Underwater Sculpture Park

Created by the visionary artist Jason deCaires Taylor, this new installation features an awe-inspiring fleet of 30 small boats, each adorned with lifelike sculptures of local children from Carriacou and Petite Martinique. But these aren’t ordinary sculptures; they are crafted from marine stainless steel and a more eco-friendly, pH-neutral green cement. Resembling paper origami boats, they symbolise the delicate balance of our ocean ecosystems.

At a depth of between three and five metres, these striking sculptures aim to transform a barren stretch of sand into a thriving artificial reef, inviting an array of marine life to find shelter here and flourish. Whether you're a seasoned diver or prefer the gentle float of snorkelling, this underwater wonderland is yours to explore.

Building on the success of the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park, often hailed as one of National Geographic’s 25 Wonders of the World, this new addition continues the mission of blending art and marine conservation. By visiting during your stay in Grenada, you will play an important part in supporting these vibrant reefs and fostering biodiversity in the Caribbean.

Away from this new attraction, there’s plenty of other amazing things to see and do in Carriacou. Bask in the sun on the unspoiled sands of Paradise Beach, where tranquil waters provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation or kayaking adventures. Learn about island traditions at the Carriacou Museum, showcasing artifacts and exhibits that chronicle the rich cultural tapestry of this enchanting land. If you love getting out in nature, hike the trails of High North Peak to see breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. If you’re visiting in early August, don’t miss the opportunity to experience the authenticity of the Carriacou Regatta Festival—an annual highlight celebrating the region’s maritime heritage through vibrant boat races and community festivities.

24 April 2026

Opening in spring 2026, AMOH, A Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes is set on a private peninsula near Lindos, with wide views across the Mediterranean and direct access to two sandy coves. It’s designed as a place to slow down and spend time well, whether that’s with family, a partner, or simply switching off for a few days. The focus is on space, privacy, and a strong sense of place, rather than overcomplicating the experience.

Spain is even better outside the summer months

24 April 2026

Spain in summer often means busy resorts, packed city centres, and temperatures that can make even short walks feel like hard work. Visiting in spring or autumn changes the pace completely. Days are still warm and bright, but without the intensity, which makes it far easier to enjoy everything from sightseeing to long, relaxed meals outdoors. You will also notice fewer queues at major attractions, more availability at popular hotels, and a general sense that you can take your time rather than plan everything around the crowds.

Beyond the beaches of Nassau and Paradise Island

24 April 2026

Nassau & Paradise Island are often associated with their beaches, but there’s much more to the destination than a typical sun holiday. It combines history, food, activities, and events in a way that makes it easy to build a varied itinerary. In 2026, there are even more reasons to visit, including the Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival at Baha Mar from 21st to 25th October.
