A Flying Visit to Toronto & Niagara Falls

Veronique Surry on 11 Apr 2026

On our way back from Costa Rica to London, we decided to break the journey with a short stop in Canada. In just two days we managed to experience the power of Niagara Falls, the views from the CN Tower and the colour and creativity of downtown Toronto. It turned out to be the perfect mini city break and a brilliant way to end our holiday.

Day 1: Niagara Parks Adventure

For our first day in Canada, we headed from downtown Toronto to Niagara Falls. We took the Megabus to Niagara, then used the WEGO bus to travel easily between all the main attractions. Our day was packed with highlights. From the Skylon Tower, we enjoyed sweeping views over the falls and the surrounding area. At Journey Behind the Falls, we felt the rumble of the water up close as it thundered past, a powerful and unforgettable experience. We then visited Niagara’s Fury / Niagara Takes Flight, followed by the peaceful Butterfly Conservatory, where colourful butterflies fluttered all around us, and the Niagara Parks Power Station, which brought the history of hydro power at the falls to life. Although rain was forecast, the weather held, the sun came out and the whole day felt calm, peaceful and surprisingly uncrowded. Having now experienced it all first-hand, I am excited to share tips, timings and honest feedback with my future customers.

Day 2: Toronto City Highlights

Our final day was all about discovering Toronto. We started with a visit to the iconic CN Tower, heading up for jaw-dropping views over the city skyline and Lake Ontario. With blue skies on our side again, it was easy to see why this is a “must do” when visiting Toronto. Afterwards, we split up for a “girls in the city” and “boys at the aquarium” day. The girls explored downtown, starting at the Toronto sign in Nathan Phillips Square, then wandering through the colourful streets of Kensington Market and the vibrant murals of Graffiti Alley. Every corner seemed like a photo opportunity and it was such a fun way to feel the city’s creative energy. Meanwhile, the boys went to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, where sharks, rays and bright tropical fish glided overhead in the underwater tunnel. It was another big favourite and a brilliant finale to our Canada adventure.
