A longer Mediterranean adventure: Italy, Spain, Malta, & the French Riviera

This longer July sailing departs Barcelona on 18th July 2027 and gives guests a wide sweep of the Med over ten nights at sea. After a sea day, Resilient Lady heads into Cannes, where guests can wander the Croisette, browse boutiques around Rue d’Antibes, or head up to Le Suquet for old-town streets and views back across the bay. From there, the route continues to Ajaccio in Corsica, with time to visit Maison Bonaparte, the 16th-century Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the cafés around Place Foch before sailing on towards Italy.

The itinerary then leans into the best of southern Europe, with a full 12 hours in Civitavecchia for Rome, giving guests time for the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City, or a long lunch in Trastevere. Salerno follows, opening up the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, or a quieter stroll along the seafront, before Catania brings Sicily into the mix with Mount Etna on the horizon and the chance to visit the city’s busy La Pescheria fish market. The route continues to Valletta, where the honey-coloured streets, Upper Barrakka Gardens, and Grand Harbour views make Malta feel wonderfully cinematic, before a final stop in Palma de Mallorca rounds off the trip beautifully. Prices start from *£2,530 per person, and there is also a Travel Counsellor exclusive offer of a $600 Bar Tab per cabin.

A Riviera-focused escape: Italy, Spain, & the French Riviera

The October sailing is a shorter seven-night cruise departing Barcelona on 17th October 2027, ideal for anyone who wants a Mediterranean escape with a little more breathing room and less time away. After a day at sea, Resilient Lady arrives in La Spezia, a brilliant springboard for the Cinque Terre’s pastel villages, Pisa’s famous leaning tower, or Florence’s Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and galleries. The next stop is Civitavecchia, with 12 hours to head into Rome, giving guests plenty of time to wander ancient landmarks, enjoy espresso stops near Piazza Navona, or indulge in a plate of cacio e pepe before returning to the ship.

Corsica and the French Riviera bring a shift in mood to the second half of the October route, moving from Italian island life into the elegance and colour of the western Mediterranean. In Ajaccio, a 12-hour stay allows time to settle into the city’s Napoleonic heritage, browse the market near Place Foch, and linger over seafood and Corsican wines along the waterfront. Cannes follows at an equally unhurried pace, with 13 hours in port for the old town, beaches, and marina, before Marseille adds a final layer of southern French character. Thoughtfully paced throughout, the itinerary returns to Barcelona on 24th October for the flight back to London Heathrow. Prices start from £1,880 per person, with a Travel Counsellor exclusive offer of a $400 Bar Tab per cabin included too.
