Meet Oceania Aurelia, the next chapter for Oceania Cruises

For many Oceania Cruises guests, Nautica has long been associated with destination-rich itineraries, attentive service, and the intimate atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the brand. Now, as Oceania Cruises looks to the future, an exciting new chapter is about to begin. Launching in late 2027, Oceania Aurelia will build on everything guests love about Oceania Cruises while introducing a fresh approach to small-ship luxury. Designed specifically for longer sailings, Grand Voyages, and World Cruises, she represents a significant evolution for the fleet, combining elegant new spaces, elevated dining experiences, and a stronger focus on immersive travel.

Meet Oceania Aurelia, the next chapter for Oceania Cruises

A new generation of small-ship luxury

While larger ships continue to dominate headlines, Oceania Cruises has remained committed to a different style of travel. With capacity for just 476 guests and approximately 400 crew members, Oceania Aurelia has been designed to create an intimate, club-like atmosphere where service feels genuinely personal and every space feels uncrowded.

The design philosophy centres around openness, comfort, and connection to the destinations being explored. Expect light-filled interiors, contemporary styling, and carefully considered details that create a relaxed sense of luxury throughout the ship.

Designed for guests who want to go further

One of the most exciting aspects of Oceania Aurelia is her focus on extended exploration. Rather than simply transporting guests from one destination to the next, the ship has been designed around the idea of fully experiencing the world. This makes her particularly well-suited to Grand Voyages, longer regional sailings, and World Cruises where guests spend weeks or even months discovering multiple destinations.

To support these longer journeys, Oceania Cruises is introducing a range of enrichment experiences. Guests will be able to learn new culinary skills at the Chef's Studio, explore their creativity in the Artist Loft, develop new digital skills at the LYNC Digital Center, and enjoy talks from guest speakers throughout their voyage.

New spaces, new flavours, and familiar favourites

Guests will still be able to enjoy beloved venues such as Polo Grill, Toscana, Waves Grill, and The Grand Dining Room, alongside the line's celebrated approach to cuisine. Alongside these favourites, new venues will bring even more choice. A brand-new Bakery and Crêperie add fresh options throughout the day, while Baristas will move to Horizons, creating a new social hub with ocean views. The stylish Founders Bar will offer craft cocktails and mixology experiences, providing a sophisticated setting for pre-dinner drinks or evening conversations.

For many, these enhancements help create an onboard experience that feels more varied and contemporary while staying true to Oceania Cruises' reputation for exceptional dining.

Spacious suites and elevated wellness

Accommodation is another area where Oceania Aurelia sets itself apart. Around 75% of the ship's accommodation categories are suite-focused, including newly introduced Oceania Suites and Horizon Suites, alongside refreshed Owner's Suites, Vista Suites, and Penthouse Suites. Many suites exceed 300 square feet, while the largest Owner's Suites offer around 1,000 square feet of space. Dedicated butler service will also be available for suite guests.

Wellness has also been elevated. For the first time, all guests will enjoy unlimited access to the Aquamar® Spa Terrace, creating even more opportunities to unwind during sea days. Combined with the ship's intimate size and relaxed atmosphere, it reinforces the feeling that Oceania Aurelia has been designed for travellers who value comfort, balance, and wellbeing.

Why the Douro should be your next river cruise

24 July 2026

River cruising has a wonderful way of slowing the pace of travel, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in a destination rather than simply passing through it. That couldn't have been more true for our Head Office colleague, Janet Whitingham, who recently returned from Riviera Travel's ‘Highlights of the Douro Valley & Salamanca’ itinerary on board MS Riviera Rose. Sailing through one of Europe's oldest wine regions, Janet discovered a journey that combines spectacular scenery, charming riverside towns, exceptional food and wine, and fascinating history - all while unpacking only once.
